It is possible on occasion to find a"Kreul" or"Hans Kreul" oboe this is in fact the same model as the heavy"Gordet" or Lucerne/Kreul. The keys are flatter than my other oboes, however I am not sure whether it is the“flatter” keywork described by Peter Hurd(in the article below) as a change made by Kreul in the 1990s. This Grenadilla wood is obviously a tighter, finer grain than most; it has been faithfully and properly treated with bore oil and protected from drastic changes, and now has a fantastic surface.
